30-Second Test: Are You on the Obamacare List?

Use the clever calculator below to find out if you’re eligible for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act's insurance exchanges and, if so, how much it will cost you.

30-Second Test: Are You on the Obamacare List?

The health insurance exchanges set up in each state by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. Obamacare, go live on October 1.

The tool above, published by the nonpartisan  Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, tells you if you're eligible, how much your subsidy would be, and makes some basic recommendations.

The Affordable Care Act is designed to furnish healthcare for uninsured American citizens who do not already receive benefits from their employer. For a deeper look at how the health exchanges will roll out over the next few months, check out the Christian Science Monitor's FAQ.

How will the Affordable Care Act affect you? Let us know in the comments or a blog post.
