Thousands Lose Power After Electrical Fire in Agoura Hills
An underground electrical vault fire knocked out power to more to 1,241 Southern California Edison customers in the Agoura Hills area.

A fire broke out in an underground electrical vault today, temporarily knocking out power to 1,241 Southern California Edison customers in the Agoura Hills area.
Robert Villegas of Edison said 185 customers were still without power early this afternoon, and there was no immediate estimate of when the electricity would be restored.
The equipment failure at the electrical vault in the 5700 block of Stonecrest Drive occurred at 9:59 a.m., Villegas said.

Firefighters dispatched to the scene reported that the fire was out by the time they arrived, said Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Randall Wright.
