Alameda's Adoptable Pet of the Week: Ophelia

Each week, Alameda Patch highlights an adoptable animal that's waiting for a "forever home" at the FAAS Alameda Animal Shelter. Information is provided by Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS).

Alameda's Adoptable Pet of the Week: Ophelia

Ophelia is a gorgeous tortie and white 1½year-old female kitty. She has bright green eyes and a sweet snuggly personality. Ophelia has been in the shelter since June and is ready for her forever home. FAAS has lots of kittens and cats looking for homes and is offering a special CATAPALOOZA where you can adopt one cat or kitten and receive a second one for 1/2 the adoption fee.

The FAAS Alameda Animal Shelter is located at 1590 Fortmann Way, Alameda. Open hours are Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shelter is closed to the public on Mondays and Tuesdays. The phone number is 510-337-8565. The website is  www.alamedaanimalshelter.org.
