Emergency Crews Contain Diesel Fuel Spill at Ballena Isle Marina
The spill, which was reported around 9:30 a.m., has been contained to the marina
Firefighters are working to determine the cause of a diesel fuel spill at the Ballena Isle Marina in Alameda this morning, a fire captain said.
The spill was reported at about 9:30 a.m. at the marina at 1150 Ballena Blvd., fire Capt. Jim Colburn said. It has been contained to the marina and has not spread to nearby Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach, Colburn said.
The U.S. Coast Guard and the Alameda fire boat were responding to the spill, Colburn said. Oakland firefighters also responded to assist with special equipment.
