(Op-Ed) Mayor Supporting Marilyn Ezzy Ashcraft for City Council

From Alameda Mayor Marie Gilmore:

As Mayor of Alameda, I have considered all of the candidates running for City Council in Tuesday’s election. I hope you will join me in voting for Marilyn Ezzy Ashcraft for City Council.

Marilyn has a stellar record. She’s spent 16 years serving our community. In her 6 years on the Alameda Planning Board, she’s helped bring new businesses and jobs to Alameda and revitalize our commercial districts.

In her 6 years on the Hospital Board, she championed affordable healthcare and fiscal responsibility.

She also led the campaign that enabled us to save Alameda Hospital, and was co-chair of the campaign to build our Main Library.

Marilyn’s record is impressive and her commitment to Alameda is deep. Please join me, former mayor Beverly Johnson, Sierra Club, the Democratic Party, and many others in casting your ballot for Marilyn Ezzy Ashcraft for Alameda City Council on Tuesday.
