Three Cars Destroyed in Alameda Fire

The car fires also threatened a business.

ALAMEDA, CA — Three vehicles burned in Alameda this morning.

Firefighters received the call at 8 a.m. and rushed to the 1800 block of Park Street. They found three cars on fire with flames licking a single story commercial structure.

According to the Alameda Fire Department, "Crews pulled hose lines to protect the building and quickly extinguish the cars that were on fire. The fire was fully extinguished in about 10 minutes. The structure was ventilated and searched for hidden fire and occupants."

There were injuries. An investigator is working to determine the cause of the fire.
