Witnesses saw two men burglarize a parked car at Grace Hills Church on Monday afternoon, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
The break-in occurred at 4:38 p.m., when a person inside the church saw two men smash the window of a silver 2003 Nissan Altima, rifling through it and stuffing objects in their pants, according to dispatch logs. They moved onto the trunk and burglarized it as well, the witness told dispatchers.
One of the suspects wore all black except for a blue baseball cap and the other was bald with a gray, long-sleeved shirt.
The caller told dispatchers the men may have been armed with a baseball bat, knife or hatchet.
The two men jumped a wall and ran off toward a residential neighborhood. Lt. Mike Jansen said the incident was under investigation.
