Updated: Hiker Falls at Eaton Canyon, Airlifted to Hospital
County teams have airlifted one hiker from the third waterfall area, and are in the process of airlifting another hiker who has fallen from the area.

A hiker at the Eaton Canyon has fallen from the third waterfall and has been airlifted to a local hospital, according to Sgt. Randy Tuinstra of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Altadena Station.
A female hiker was already airlifted out of the area, he added. The hiker was uninjured but was stuck in a high cliff area and was unwilling or unable to climb down.
The extent of the other hiker's injuries are unknown, Tuinstra said, but a team is working on airlifting him out of the area.

The call for the hikers came in at 3:10 p.m., he said, and the female hiker was airlifted out at 3:55 p.m.
As regular readers know, rescues at Eaton Canyon are a regular occurence, and a young man was earlier this week.

Update: According to a release from Capt. Mike Parker of the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, the man is 31 years old and the woman is 20, and both are from Rancho Cucamonga.
The man has been hospitalized but no information on the extent of his injuries is available at this time.
