Why Cook When Altadena Fries?

Some folks lose their appetite when temps inch towards the triple digits. But if you’re not a member of that club and feeling a bit peckish, Mota’s Mexican Restaurant on Lincoln can help.

Why Cook When Altadena Fries?

It's too hot to cook, but for some of us, it's never too hot to eat.

So how about Mota's? In business since 2001, Mota’s Mexican Restaurant dishes up all the usual suspects – burritos, tacos, quesadillas – but also some seafood entrees as well.  And let’s just say, the portions aren’t stingy.

One possibility is the pork carnitas and rice burrito with hot salsa. The hot salsa lives up to its reputation. Perhaps even exceeds its reputation.

With an extra 50 cents for cheese, this meal weighs in $5.90, and something over one pound. (You can forego the cheese;  it’s lost in all the other flavors.)

Eat-in or take-out; fast and very friendly counter-service.

Next time I visit, and there will be a next time, I’ll opt for something, uhm, a little lighter.

Mota’s Mexican Restaurant is located at 2397 N. Lincoln Avenue, Altadena. Menudo and handmade tortillas served Saturdays and Sundays.
