15 Freeway Reopens After Deadly Big-Rig Crash: Inland Empire
The fiery crash killed two people, injured one and caused a long freeway shutdown.

BARSTOW, CA ā A fiery crash involving two semi trucks on southbound Interstate 15 killed two people and shut down the busy freeway early Sunday.
According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the crash was reported south of Hodge Road near Barstow. Two people were killed and one person was transported to a hospital with injuries.
One of the trucks was carrying hazardous materials, according to the SBCFD.

Shortly before 7:30 a.m., the freeway reopened after SBCFD reported that the fire had been knocked down and crews had mitigated the haz mat situation.
The southbound side had been shut down for several hours.

The identities of those killed has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
