Beaumont Family Chosen for "Social Experiment" Reality Show "Famous in 12"
The Artiaga family from Beaumont will be on a summer reality show in the hopes of becoming famous celebrities.
Can they become famous?
That's the idea behind TMZ-guru Harvey Levin's newest reality show called "Famous in 12."
The Artiaga family from Beaumont (which TMZ dubs "...a sleepy down near Palm Springs...") was chosen for a social experiment in becoming famous, according to the agency.
"The Artiagas have just moved to L.A. with a mission -- using every device possible -- especially social media -- to get noticed," TMZ writes. "TMZ will give them tips on where to go, what to do ... but they have to make their own luck."
They'll be featured on a reality show called "Famous in 12" which will air on the CW beginning Tuesday, June 3.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the family consists of mother Angie, father Mike, their six children and grandchild.
More than 100,000 videos were sent in from families around the world trying to get cast in the show, according to TMZ, who ultimately decided the Beaumont family has what it takes for this project.
