Body Found In Burned Out Car, Witnesses Sought: Moreno Valley
The incident was reported on eastbound SR-60, west of Frederick Street.

MORENO VALLEY, CA — An investigation continues into a fiery freeway crash over the weekend in Moreno Valley that left one dead.
At approximately 4:47 a.m. Sunday, the California Highway Patrol responded to a call about a car fire on eastbound SR-60, west of Frederick Street. When units arrived, they found a burned Ford Fusion with a body inside. The car was in a parking lot next to the freeway.
The CHP's preliminary investigation showed the Fusion went off the roadway, collided with a light pole, then came to rest in the parking lot, just south of the freeway.

"The Ford Fusion then ignited into flames with the occupant still trapped inside," the agency said.
The victim's identity was being withheld, pending notification of next of kin, although the coroner's bureau confirmed the deceased was male.
