Body Found Off Van Buren Blvd ID'd As RivCo Woman: Coroner

WOODCREST, CA — A woman's body found Thursday in the Woodcrest area was positively identified as a 57-year-old Riverside resident, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department coroner's bureau.

Donna Washington's body was found in an open field just north of Van Buren Boulevard, just 800 feet west of Whispering Spur Street, according to the coroner's report. Details are still emerging on the cause and exact date of her death. The coroner's office has estimated that the time of death was sometime this month.

California Highway Patrol's Riverside department is leading the investigation, and Patch will update this report when more information is received.
