Car Crashes into Menifee Apartment Building, Injuring One

A vehicle slammed into an apartment building in Menifee, leaving at least one person injured, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The passenger car, with three poeple in it, collided with a house on the 28400 block of Encanto Drive, just off Interstate 215, at around 3:10 p.m., authorities say.

The driver lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons and it plowed into the apartment building, resulting in “significant damage,” County Fire spokeswoman Jennifer Fuhrman said.

Only one person inside the vehicle sustained minor injuries. No one inside the building was injured.

Sheriff’s deputies were handling the crash investigation.
