Child Killed, Four Others Hurt in Head-On Crash
The 5-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the Riverside County Regional Medical Center.

A head-on collision on Gilman Springs Road on Thursday claimed the life of a 5-year-old San Jacinto girl.
Jalissa Valenzuela was pronounced dead at 8:54 a.m. at Riverside County Regional Medical Center, where she was taken following the 8:04 a.m. crash near the Bridge Street intersection, in an unincorporated area just east of Moreno Valley.

Two others were hospitalized with moderate injuries, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman April Newman said. Two people with minor injuries declined treatment.
The crash prompted closure of the busy thoroughfare to all traffic for several hours.
