Coroner Investigating Fairway Canyon Clubhouse​ Pool Death In Beaumont

BEAUMONT, CA — The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau is investigating what happened to a woman who was found unresponsive in the Fairway Canyon Clubhouse pool at 36189 Champions Drive in Beaumont.

Cecilia Ghosh, 47, was found around 9 p.m. Tuesday in the pool's shallow end, according to reports from the Beaumont Police Department and the coroner.

Prior to the discovery, the Beaumont resident was seen swimming laps, the police department reported.

A person at the scene attempted CPR on Ghosh until Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department crews arrived to take over. Despite efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further information was available.

Fairway Canyon is a home owner’s association community that consists of more than 1,000 residences.
