Firefighters Battle Bus Fire Overnight Near I-15 And 60 Freeways

Cal Fire / Riverside County Firefighters remained at the scene where a bus caught fire overnight in Mira Loma.

JURUPA VALLEY, CA — Cal Fire / Riverside County Firefighters fought back the flames of a commercial bus fire overnight, that agency reported Friday.

Firefighters arrived on the 3300 block of De Forest Circle in Jurupa Valley, near the 15 and 60 Freeways, shortly before midnight to find the bus fully aflame.

The "well-involved" fire was next to a building, and firefighters held back the blaze from reaching the structure, they reported.

The bus, however, was a total loss.

Resources remained at the scene for approximately two hours afterward. There was no word as to the cause of the fire as of this report.
