An investigation of a home invasion robbery in Cabazon continued Thursday, and the male victim was recovering from injuries he sustained in the attack, a sheriff's sergeant said.

The incident was reported about 3:50 p.m. Wednesday as an "unknown trouble" call in the 14000 block of Marino Street, east of Broadway, Sgt. Sean Bahash of the sheriff's Cabazon Station said.

Deputies learned the male victim was assaulted and robbed in his home, Bahash said. The victim was taken to a hospital for injuries sustained in the home invasion and later released.

Investigators from the Cabazon Station were following up on possible leads and evidence, Bahash said Thursday. Further details of the home invasion robbery were not released.
