San Jacinto Police officers are asking the public’s help in finding a robber they said struck a victim in the head when they refused to hand his personal property to him.

Witnesses told police a man approached his victims and demanded they hand over personal property, according to a news release issued by Police Sgt S. Agcaoili.

The victims refused to comply and the angry robber struck one of the victims on the head with an object, according to Agcaoili . The suspect then fled on a skateboard.

The injured person was taken to a local hospital for treatment but did not suffer serious injuries, the officer said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, roughly age 19, 5-foot-6, 130 pounds with a thin build wearing a black shirt, dark plaid shorts and white socks.

Investigators ask anyone with information on the incident to contact the San Jacinto Police Department at (951) 654-2702.
