Police Stop Naked Man From Running Into Traffic In Riverside
The distraught individual was transferred to a hospital for evaluation, officials said.

RIVERSIDE – A nude, distraught man who attempted to run into oncoming traffic near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Chicago Avenue was taken to a hospital for evaluation, Riverside police reported Tuesday.
Officers sent to the scene about 6:20 p.m. Monday found the man, whose name was withheld, walking through traffic and making "claims that he wanted to die and wanted the officers to shoot him," according to a Riverside police statement.
As officers talked to the man, he suddenly tried to bolt into oncoming traffic, but they were able to grab him and safely detain him before he could hurt himself, according to Lt. Christian Dinco.
