UPDATE: 2 Killed, 2 Injured in Shootings in Banning
The suspect was arrested in Beaumont and the victims were apparently killed at random.
Two people were killed and another two were injured in a random shooting in downtown Banning and the suspect was arrested at nearby Beaumont, police said.
The shooting was first reported shortly 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of John Street, near Hargrave Street, police say.

A man was shot and killed inside his car, his passenger was injured. The passenger told police they were shot at by a man in a white SUV, Banning police Chief Alex Diaz said.
At around 11:43 a.m., a woman was shot at and injured by the broken glass shards. That shooting occurred about 1 mile from the first incident, at San Gorgonio Avenue and Nicolet Street.

At the third incident, a man was beaten at around 11:53 a.m. at the am/pm market at 22nd and Ramsey streets, about 2 1/2 miles away.
At around 12:13 p.m., police found body inside a car that crashed into a wall. Authorities are unsure if this was connected to the shootings.
The suspect was arrested at around 12:30 p.m. in Beaumont, police said.
Beaumont police recovered a weapon, but police could not confirm if that was the murder weapon.
Police believe the shooting was at random.
