Teacher Arrested at Her Beaumont Home, Accused of Possessing Controlled Substance, Paraphernalia
A Redlands middle school teacher was arrested Wednesday at her home in Beaumont on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and paraphernalia, according to Redlands police and booking records.

Jennifer Tena Krogman, 40, who has blogged on " Taking Responsibility for Our Actions," is a teacher at Clement Middle School. Krogman was cited by Redlands police and released early Thursday, but she could not be reached to comment for this report.

The East Valley Street Enforcement Team, comprised of Redlands police and San Bernardino County deputies, arrested Krogman at her home in the 1600 block of Apollo Way in Beaumont around 3 p.m. July 31, Redlands police Lt. Travis Martinez said Thursday evening in a phone interview.

Krogman was allegedly packaging a small amount of methamphetamine to be mailed out of state, Martinez said.

Redlands Unified School District officials released a brief statement Thursday addressing Krogman's arrest. Superintendent Lori Rhodes could not be reached to comment for this report.

The first day of school for Redlands Unified is scheduled Aug. 14.
