Transient Found Dead Near Moreno Valley Home

A man was found dead near a Moreno Valley residence, Riverside County sheriff’s deputies reported Sunday.

A resident in the 14000 block of Perham Drive reported seeing a homeless man walking around the neighborhood after midnight Saturday morning, said Deputy Robyn Flores of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

The man was found dead near a home on Perham Drive the following afternoon. He was secribed only as in his 50s, and coroners said he died at about 1:45 p.m. Saturday, said Flores.

The sheriff’s coroner’s office has not released the identity of the man. The cause of death is also under investigation.
