Two-Alarm Fire Breaks Out at Beaumont Pallet Yard

BEAUMONT, CA — A fire at a Beaumont pallet yard sent smoke through the region early Saturday.
According to April Newman of the Riverside County Fire Department, the agency received multiple reports of the blaze around 9:19 a.m. They were sent to the business at East Third Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
"Firefighters arrived on scene at a large lumber facility with one silo on fire and exposures to a large lumber yard and trees," Newman reported.

By 10:15 a.m., the 38 firefighters from 10 engine companies at the scene had contained the fire to the silo. However, they planned to remain at the location for a couple hours for overhaul.
Photos from the scene posted by Calfire on Twitter showed the charred scene.
