'Catalyst' is Highlight of NDNU's Labor Day Festival of Theatre & Dance

New Ground Dance Theatre's "Catalyst" will be performed Aug. 9-11 at Notre Dame de Namur Theatre.

Notre Dame De Namur University's 17th annual, Labor Day Theatre Festival is a unique collection of poetry, plays, musicals, and reviews by local artists.
The festival runs through August 31 at Notre Dame de Namur Theatre.

This weekend, New Ground Dance Theatre Company's newest work, "Catalyst" will be the festival's highlight performance.

According to choreographer Coleen Lorenz, "Catalyst" "...is a story of believing in human possibility through the power of choice.  It dives deep into the sorrow of our current state of existence and lifts into ideas of new potential and possibility for humanity."

"Catalyst" will be performed at the NDNU Theatre Friday, Aug. 9 and Saturday, Aug. 10 at 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 11 at 3:00 p.m. For tickets, or more information, go to www.newgrounddance.com

Other highlights of NDNU Theatre's Labor Day Festival:

Aug. 22 - 24 features new, short plays, poetry, musicals, reviews and special Sat. Children's matinee matinee, all by local writers and performers. Shows include "Practical Uses for a time Machine", "A New York Minute", "Good Day", "Rodgers & Hart & Hart", Kohree and Friends; street poets, "Pavane", film "The Count's Daughter", "A Foolish Fairy Tale", book reading "House on Polka-Dot Hill" and more.

Aug. 29-31 features "Hearts & Soles", "Newlywed Feud Factor", Kurt Weil review, "Practical Uses for a time Machine", "A New York Minute", "Good Day",  "A Foolish Fairy Tale", book reading "House on Polka-Dot Hill", "Pavane", film "The Count's Daughter" "Through the Fence" and more.

Tickets are $10.00 for Adults, $5.00 youth under age 15.
All tickets may be purchased at the door.
Box office will open one hour before each performance.
