Stage Fright

Stage Fright
Feeling nervous on stage is totally normal, of course.  The amount of adrenaline released while speaking (not even singing) on stage is the same as that of someone parachuting out of a plane.

However, did you know that excitement and anxiety are the EXACT same physiological response?  Your body releases adrenaline.  How your brain interprets that adrenaline creates either the feeling of anxiety or of excitement.

So, a short answer to stage fright is to just decide that you are excited, instead.  Allow that boost of adrenaline to boost your performance -- you'll have heightened awareness, think more quickly on your feet, and be more energetic.

Go ahead and enjoy it!
