Assemblymember Jerry Hill announced Monday that the California Federation of Teachers (CFT), a statewide organization representing more than 120,000 education employees, has endorsed his campaign for the new 13th District seat in the California State Senate.

"Jerry Hill has been fighting for our schools in these tough times in Sacramento, and we know he will continue to support our schools as our senator," said Jefferson Elementary Federation of Teachers Local 3267 President Melinda Dart, a retired school teacher, "He understands the value and importance of education in our communities."

"I have a deep appreciation for the work of our school administrators and staff, teachers and elected education leaders and will continue to work hard to improve K-12 and higher education," said Hill.

Locally, Hill has been endorsed by San Mateo County Office of Education Superintendent Anne Campbell. To view the full list of endorsements, go to www.JerryHillforSenate.com/endorsements.
