Three-Alarm Fire Reported At Iron Company On Mare Island

The blaze can be seen from American Canyon.

Firefighters this morning are responding to a three-alarm commercial structure fire on Mare Island in Vallejo.

The fire broke out at Alco Metal & Iron Company at 629 Azuar Dr. The Vallejo Fire Department is asking the community to avoid the area.

The fire has also spread to nearby vegetation, according to the fire department. Firefighters first reported the blaze at 11:43 p.m. Thursday.
