
BERKELEY, CA — The bodies of two people were discovered in a residence on Monday, Berkeley Police report. There is no obvious cause of death.
As a precaution, the rest of the building, in the 3000 block of Deakin Street, was evacuated and Deakin Street is closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic between Webster and Prince Street.
The Berkeley Police Department, Berkeley Fire Department, PG&E personnel were all on scene investigating.

No evidence of carbon monoxide or natural gas was discovered. Deakin Street reopened to traffic overnight.
The investigation into the cause of the deaths continues.
