Firestone Walker Brewery is said to be preparing to open a new restaurant, taproom and offices in Venice next year. Based in central California, Firestone Walker is the state’s fourth-largest craft brewery.

Video game developer Konami Digital Entertainment announced the opening of its new video game development studio in Playa del Rey. The Japanese video game company said the Playa del Rey studios will house Kojima Productions with teams dedicated to developing the company's well-known Metal Gear Solid franchise.

East-meets-west on Sept. 19 when Hakkasan opens its 10,000-square-foot upscale Cantonese restaurant at 233 North Beverly Dr. in Beverly Hills.

Andante Coffee Roasters opened up on Beverly Boulevard and the business aims to have expansive seating, plugs and fast Internet, reports EaterLA.
