Bel Air - The Purim Carnival is back this year with new rides, food, and other family fun at the Stephen S. Wise Temple, 15500 Stephen S. Wise Drive. A zip line and a rock climbing wall are new this year. Starting Sunday at 9:30 a.m., there will be a light nosh and Purim Pre-Game followed by singing, dancing, Megillah reading and costume parade. Culver City - The Mar Vista Family Center, 5075 South Slauson Ave., celebrates its new creekside native plant garden Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Visit the new garden located behind the family center along Ballona Creek. Take in the refreshments and the Sea Lab's Traveling Tidepool activities. Phone: 310-390-4888

Santa Monica - The Erth Dinosaur Petting Zoo Show at The Broad Stage, 1310 11th St., brings dinos to life and takes children and adults through an interactive journey back to prehistoric ages. Feed, water and care for creatures that once roamed Earth eons ago. Saturday's shows are at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets are $15 to $30 and can be purchased online. Pacific Palisades - The Getty Villa's exhibit, "Molten Color: Glassmaking in Antiquity," features over 180 ancient glass objects from the Erwin Oppenlander collection. Some of the works were made in Mesopotamia, Egypt, and the Roman Empire and are from periods as old as 2500 B.C. Tickets are free, but must be reserved online. Parking is $15.
