Vehicle Fire Closes Mullholland Highway

Mullholland Highway was closed in both directions Sunday after a vehicle caught fire.

CALABASAS, CA — A car fire along a busy Calabasas road forced its temporary closure Sunday, the the Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff's Station reported Monday.

The fire was reported around 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the 26000 block of Mullholland Highway, near Stunt Road.

An image from the scene shows flames were pouring out of the black Toyota Camry, sending a black plume of smoke into the area. Traffic was visibly backed up.

The Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff's Station was not available to comment on additional details.
