21 Arrests Associated with Boogie

The Campbell Police was in full force May 19 and 20 and Campbell Police Capt. Charley Adams said that overall, the event was a successful one.

"We estimated there were about 20,000 people on each day and we arrested 21 people for public intoxication, most of which were in the evening hours," Adams said.

The majority of those were still wearing wristbands, which they were required to wear to acquire alcohol at the festival, Adams said. This is how PD was able to attribute those to the event.

There was also a minor car-involved bike accident, he said, but didn't have details at the time this article was published.

"All in all, it was a very successful event," Adams said. "The officers did a good job of maintaining control of the crowds. If you break it down, we think it’s successful if we don’t have any serious injuries or serious incidents."
