Cepia-Toned Campbell

Historic photo that offers a glimpse of the downtown in the 1890s.

Cepia-Toned Campbell

This week's historic photo offers a snapshot of what the Orchard City looked like in the 1890s.

The black and white photographic reprint of early Campbell Avenue as seen from across an orchard, includes the ?? Building (far left), the Campbell Hall (originally the Young Mens Christian Association Building), and the C.L. Willett's General Merchandise Store and the Hay, Grain and Feed Storefronts.

This image shows the South side of Campbell Avenue between Central Avenue and the Railroad Tracks (visible on far left). The Buxton's Fruit Dry Yard is visible in the background.

The mass display of American flags on every building is in celebration of the Fourth of July.
