Crab and Pasta Fundraiser Benefits Community

The Country Women's Club of Campbell is hosting its 16th annual Crab and Gourmet Pasta Fundraiser.

Good food, good company and all for a good cause.

"It'll be a fun time," says Country Woman's Club of Campbell member Ursula Smith.

The Country Woman's Club of Campbell will be hosting the 16th annual Crab and Gourmet Pasta Fundraiser to benefit scholarships for local high school students as well as community projects.

The event, held Feb. 4 at the at 6:00 p.m. will include a raffle and silent auction, all-you-can-eat crab and pasta dinner, beer and wine.

The pasta has been donated by Campbell's the bread for the night has been donated by the Boudin Bakery at the Westfield Valley Fair Shopping Center and the crab is paid for by ticket intake, Smith says.

Campbell high school students will serve the dinners.

"We give the scholarships for Campbell high school students heading to college," Smith says. "In the past, the club has supported the Heritage Theater, supports the library (which was started by the Campbell Country Women's Club, she says)."

The organization also support several students so that they can participate in leadership programs and supports the battered women's shelter.

Tickets have gone on sale, $50 each, and are limited.
