Explosion Reported In South Bay Fire; 7 People, 3 Dogs Displaced

The fire at a San Jose townhouse was reported at about 10:58 a.m. Monday.

SAN JOSE, CA — Seven people — and three dogs — were displaced Monday when a townhouse caught fire, officials said. Residents of Pasquale Court in east San Jose reported hearing an explosion and seeing fire at about 10:58 a.m., fire officials said.

The blaze was quickly contained and no injuries were reported, according to the San Jose Fire Department. However, six adults and one child were displaced by the fire.

While officials believe the blaze started outside near the gas meter for the residence, the exact cause has not been determined and remains under investigation.
