SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA ā A truck fire with a 100-gallon diesel tank led to a small fuel spill in San Jose on Sunday night, a fire department spokesman said.
A hazardous materials team responded to 2560 Fontaine Road around 9:50 p.m. when a truck hauling a 100-gallon tank caught on fire, Fire Capt. Mitch Matlow said.
Crews arrived to find the blaze was quickly extinguished, Matlow said.

An initial report indicated 100 gallons of fuel spilled, but Matlow clarified that a small amount of fuel leaked out, some of which entered a storm drain.
Crews placed absorbent on the ground to prevent additional fuel from entering the drain, he said.

Matlow didn't know how much fuel came out from the truck, but said it wasn't large enough for crews to clean up.
No injuries were reported, he said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
