Teen in Final Semester of College While Changing the World

Marli Tague earned 100 college credit hours before her 17th birthday.

Marli Tague is on a mission. She graduated high school in May of 2010 and is currently finishing up her final semester to graduate this December with a B.A. in Liberal Studies through Thomas Edison State College. She’s done so much in so short of a time thanks to a Christian based distance-learning program called CollegePlus! Through the program Tague earned dual credit for high school and college while being homeschooled.

Tague hopes her degree takes her far. Far away that is. "My biggest dream is to be a missionary in a third world country focusing on evangelism and social justice,” said Tague. She’s already gone on a trip and helped the people of Southern Sudan.

Back home, Tague is a normal teenager. “When I'm not doing school, I enjoy being with family and friends, working out, or messing around with anything artistic,” she explained. She says many of her good family memories took place in Carlsbad and her father currently pastors Rancho del Rey church in Carlsbad.
