SAN DIEGO SOLAR PROGRAM NOW OFFERS SOLAR FINANCING OPTIONS THROUGH PROPERTY TAXES

Starting February 10th, residents living in select cities across San Diego are able to participate in a new government solar financing program. Home Energy Renovation Opportunity (HERO) Financing provides an opportunity to fund solar through property taxes: No money out of pocket, no credit score requirement.

The local government sponsored PACE program, also known as HERO Financing is repaid annually through a tax assessment and the interest is tax deductible.  This allows homeowners to tie their solar investment to property taxes rather than taking a personal loan, and the investment stays with the property when a homeowner moves. Annual payments are much lower than your current electric bill, and you will secure a lower electricity rate for the lifetime of the system. The cities of Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, Solana Beach and Lemon Grove have opted into the PACE program.

Sullivan Solar Power is a certified contractor of the San Diego government solar program. To see if you pre-qualify for HERO, and to learn how to apply for solar financing, call 1.800.SULLIVAN. They will provide a free estimate and in-depth evaluation to show you the great benefits of this new program.

The next informational seminar will be held on March 22nd, at the Oceanside Public Library from 11 a.m.- 12 p.m. This seminar will cover solar technology, rebates and incentives, and PACE financing.
