Fire At Truck Repair Business Quickly Extinguished

Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire that extensively damaged a Hayward truck repair business this afternoon, a fire captain said. The fire was reported shortly after 4:40 p.m. at 29303 Pacific St., fire Capt. Don Nichelson said. NorCal Truck Repair & Tire Service is listed at that address.

When firefighters arrived they found smoke and flames shooting from the building’s roof. It took only about 15 minutes to knock the fire down, but about half the building was burned in the blaze, Nichelson said. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
