U.S. News & World Report releases its latest rankings of national universities.

UCLA Ties With USC in U.S. News & World Report Rankings

Rivals and USC tied in 24th place in U.S. News & World Report's latest rankings of national universities, which were released Wednesday.

The two schools were also joined by University of Virginia in the 24th spot.

Harvard and Princeton tied for first place, with Yale University following behind in second.

Other Southern California schools listed among the top performers were UC San Diego in 38th place with Lehigh; UC Santa Barbara in 41st with the University of Wisconsin at Madison and the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; and UC Irvine, which was tied with the University of Miami in 44th place.
