Woman Killed in Westwood Crash Identified

Three others are injured after a two-vehicle crash in Westwood Friday.

Woman Killed in Westwood Crash Identified

The coroner Sunday released the name of the woman killed in a two-vehicle crash in Westwood.

She was Samantha Lawson, 25, of Suntan Valley, Arizona, said coroner's Lt. Renee Grand Pre. An autopsy is pending.

Three other people escaped with minor injuries from a two-vehicle crash in Westwood Friday, a police lieutenant said.

The collision at Sepulveda Boulevard and Montana occurred at 5:55 p.m. Friday, said Los Angeles police Lt. Theodore Edwards of the West Traffic Division.

Andrew Haban, a 20-year-old resident of Ventura, made a U-turn in a 2010 Ford Focus while going southbound on Sepulveda Boulevard and was struck by a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban driven by John Radovic, a 33-year-old resident of Redondo Beach, Edwards said.

Radovic, the lone occupant inside the sport utility vehicle, and three occupants in the Ford, were rushed to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where a woman in the Ford, now identified as Lawson, was pronounced dead at 8:18 p.m. Friday, he said.

The remaining injured had only complaints of pain, escaping the crash with minor injuries, Edwards said. No one was arrested or cited.
