Save The Dates: Bead Show Coming To Concord

Save The Dates: Bead Show Coming To Concord

The   Bead & Boutique Arts Show at the Hilton Concord is coming up on August 8 - 10. Visit over 200 boutiques and galleries, under one roof, and discover the joy of design –the colors, materials, patterns and textures of beads and clothing made by hand.

These artisans employ handmade traditions –passed down for generations –using skills and techniques that produce one-of-a-kind, works of art. For instance, the lampwork method Michelle Davis uses to make handcrafted glass floral and nature motifs originated in the 14thcentury.

Attendees to the Bead & Boutique Arts Show are made up of a variety of designers, retailers, boutique owners, bead buyers, and many others who appreciate handmade design.

There are many one-of-a-kinds, handmade beads and jewelry designs –many offered exclusively by the artisans themselves. Along with the well-known and established, the show promotes newly discovered and talented artisans who are new to the business.

The show has something for everyone! There are good selections and great pricing on unique clothing, hard-to-find accessories, fine art jewelry, contemporary, vintage and antique beads, handwoven textiles, antiquities, artifacts, ethnographic art, embellishments, sacred textiles, and tribal arts.

The Bead & Boutique Arts Show also presents local and international merchants and dealers exhibiting their newest products. Attendees may purchase directly from wholesale merchants with large inventories of beading and jewelry supplies, findings, elements, and artisan supplies.

The show also presents 50 artisan workshops. This is a unique opportunity for attendees to explore their creative side and learn traditional handmade techniques such as beadmaking, beadwork, hand knotting, art clay, enamel bead making, resin jewelry, talismans jewelry, riveting, soldering, repouseé, Kumihimo, found object jewelry, glass casting, metal work, and wire work.

Open to the public, admission $10 (good for all 3 days). The Bead & Boutique Arts Show website makes the registration process easy. Hours: Friday - Sunday, August 8 – 10, 10am -6pm daily. Complimentary hotel parking. Hilton Concord, 1970 Diamond Blvd, Concord, CA 94520. For information about exhibitors, products, workshops, and registration, visitwww.beadandboutique.com.
