Stabbing Suspect Shot, Wounded By Concord PD
BREAKING: The stabbing victim was transported to the hospital.

CONCORD, CA – A stabbing suspect was shot and critically wounded by a Concord police officer today after he allegedly attacked another man, a police spokesman said.
At about 2 p.m., officers responded to reports that a man had been stabbed on Prospect Street near San Jose Avenue, Concord police spokesman Cpl. Christopher Blakely said.
At about 2:30 p.m., officers located the suspect in the backyard of a home in the 1400 block of San Jose Avenue, where at least one officer opened fire, Blakely said.

The suspect was taken to a hospital and is in critical condition, Blakely said.
The stabbing victim was also transported to a hospital and is expected to recover.
