Some city venues are closed this weekend, and a shutdown of City Hall this week means no City Council meeting next Tuesday.

Holiday Closures Over New Year's Weekend

Holiday shutdowns of city venues continues through this weekend until reopening Tuesday, Jan. 3, although some services, like the Cupertino Library, are available on a limited basis.

, the , and , closed Dec. 23, and will reopen for business next Tuesday.

The closure of City Hall means no City Council meeting next Tuesday, since city staffers have had no time to prepare. The next regular council meeting is Tuesday, Jan. 17.

is open Saturday 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and then closes Jan. 1 and Jan. 2.

The is closed Saturday, Dec. 31, and Sunday, Jan 1. Those with New Year's resolutions to get in shape can head back to the center's gym on Monday, Jan. 2.

Golfers take heart: is open all weekend.

Trash and recycling service by Recology are unaffected by Monday's national holiday status. Christmas tree recycling is encouraged next week and throughout January. Cut the tree into 5-foot lengths and deposit into the brown yard waste containers. Apartment and condominium communities must make arrangements with Recology for pickup.

There is no mail delivered on Monday, and all county, state and federal offices will be closed. Banks will also be closed.
