Local Businesses Honored for Support of Pink Ladies

Walnut Sheriff's Lt. John Saleeby, who coaches the girls under 14 soccer team, recognized Bob's Towing and Airsoft GI for their sponsorship of the team.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. John Saleeby, who works out of the Walnut station, recently honored two local businesses for their support of the girls soccer team he coaches.

Saleeby coaches the Pink Ladies, an AYSO Region 624 girls under 14 soccer team. He presented Charlie Al-Badawi, owner of Bob's Towing in Rowland Heights, and Tim Sergeant, representing Airsoft GI owner Walter Chang, with a framed collage of photos of the team members.

Bob's Towing has been in business since 1988, in Rowland Heights since 2000. Airsoft GI, which has been in business since 2003, has been in Walnut for six or seven years.

Saleeby said the team would not have been able to have pizza parties, end of the year awards, and other special events without the donations from Bob's Towing and Airsoft GI.

"I am so thrilled to death to have received and to have been in partnership with Charlie and with Walter Chang from Airsoft GI," Saleeby said. "It’s a memory that the girls are going to have forever and it’s a good memory."
