Teen Swept Down Putah Creek Rescued by CHP Helicopter
The Napa County-based California Highway Patrol Golden Gate Division Air Operations unit assisted Sunday in the rescue of a 15-year-old who had been swept down the Putah Creek in Yolo County.

Officials said CHP Helicopter 32 was requested just before 4:30 p.m. by the Yolo County Fire Department to assist in the rescue of the male teen, who had been swept down the creek and became stranded.

Officials said the helicopter unit located teen on the opposite side of the creek and was able to hoist him to safety. The teen wasn't injured in the incident.

The California Highway Patrol Golden Gate Division Air Operations unit operates four aircraft that patrol the nine Bay Area counties.
