Dixon Week in Review: A Look Back at the Week that Was

Just in case you missed anything, here's a look back at this week's headlines for Dixon.

Dixon Week in Review: A Look Back at the Week that Was

Here are a few things we covered this week, in case you missed anything:

- Gave you insight into who I, Lindsey Hickman am, working in my new role reporting here at the Dixon Patch.

After a concerned Dixon High parent contacted Dixon Patch after finding his son was in possession of nitrous oxide-charged whipped cream cartridges that can been used as potentially deadly inhalants, Dixon Patch visited the only smoke shop in town where they can be purchased. This opened up dialog for concerned community members could voice their opinions on sales, responsibility and awareness.

 - who is packing healthy lunches and cooking healthy dinners is often easier said than done in today's busy world. Eatwell Farm boxes up local, organic produce and free-range chicken eggs for your consumption.

We got some debate on upcoming elections in a letter to the editor:

- "I am sure that I will, once again, be called a “cockroach” or maybe even something worse by Mike Ceremello as he continues to use his Musing’s column to denigrate me, Dixon Rotary, the City, and the good citizens of Dixon."

-Don't miss the downtown Dixon Wine & Art Stroll, this Saturday, Aug. 25th, from 4-8 p.m. $20 advance tickets still available at the DDBA office, 165 E. A Street; price increases to $25 at the door, both include commemorative wine glass.

NEXT WEEK- Look forward to photos of the wine stroll popping up early next week. If you are headed there- bring your smile, never know who might snap your photo! (You'll also be able to upload your own photos to Dixon Patch.)

Dixon Patch will also visit the Dixon Teen Center, talk to the Police Department about recent garage break-ins and safety tips to protect yourself, and speak with Dixon Fire about their recent involvement on strike teams as more than 10 wild fires burn throughout California.

What are your plans this weekend?

Don’t miss updates from Patch!
