Gearing Up for Bike to Work Day in El Cerrito

It's just a week away--get your plan together.

We’re just a week away from Bike to Work Day--Thursday, May 14th--and the City of El Cerrito will host its annual Energizer Station from 7:00 - 9:00 a.m. with free refreshments and reusable Bike to Work Day tote bags filled with goodies (while supplies last).

The Energizer Station will be at a new location this year, on the Ohlone Greenway at Fairmount Avenue near the new Natural Area, across the street from the El Cerrito Plaza BART station.

The City wants to highlight recent improvements on the Ohlone Greenway.

“On Bike to Work Day next Thursday, we’re hoping El Cerrito residents will opt to get out of their car and bike to work. We’ll be on the Ohlone Greenway near the El Cerrito Plaza BART station to provide support as well as talk with residents about recent greenway improvements, and the City’s commitment to sustainable transportation,” said Emily Alter, Community Development Analyst with the City of El Cerrito.

For more information about the City’s energizer station, please contact Emily Alter at (510) 215-4385.
