The City of El Cerrito Arts and Culture Commission presents “El Cerrito- Re-imagined ” by the Artist Salon of the East Bay in the City Hall Gallery Space through April 24.
The artists will host a reception on Sunday, April 6 from 2:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m.
Inspired by their personal histories in the East Bay or by the images contained in the ElCerrito Historical Society’s book “El Cerrito – Images of America,” together the artists explored the themes of the past – nostalgia, memory, and loss – to capture the enduring essence and evolution of their town.
The Artist Salon of the East Bay (ASEB) members participating in this exhibit are Rita Bagley, Dyana Bhandari, Pam Fingado, Edward Alex Franco, Sandi Potter, and Nicole Rubio.
The Artist Salon of the East Bay is a professional group of artists who exhibit in the San Francisco Bay Area. This group was originally formed at Fingado Art Gallery with the intention to support, critique, promote and advance their art. In addition they meet to discuss current trends in the art world, share resources, contribute to and participate in the Bay Area's art scene.
The Gallery Space is located inside the El Cerrito City Hall at 10890 San Pablo Avenue (at Manila Avenue) in El Cerrito CA 94530 and is open to the public during regular business hours, which are:
